Common questions.

How do I turn a photo into a painting?

Open your photo in Brushstroke, tap a style, and it becomes a painting. Our photo to painting guide walks through styles, palettes, canvases, and prints.

Can I use your apps to produce content for commercial use?

We want to allow our customers to use our apps as creatively as possible, whether for commercial or personal use. As long as you are using your own images and our app like you might use Photoshop, something like this is perfectly acceptable to us for commercial use, so there are no restrictions in that specific case. If it differs, please let us know. We do always appreciate a small mention of attribution or letting others know about our app, but it’s not required.

Are your apps available for macOS?

Yes. Brushstroke Pro and Brightly Pro are available for macOS today, and we have more apps on the way. If you are interested in beta testing, you can sign up to get opportunities to test our prereleases in the future.

If I purchased the app on my iPhone, can I also use it on my iPad?

Once you purchase our app, it’s universally available on all of your iOS devices as long as they share the same App Store account.

How do I transfer photos from my desktop computer to my iPhone or iPad?

There are a few ways. If you use iCloud Photos, your library syncs to your device automatically. To move photos over manually, sync them from macOS or Windows. If you’re on a Mac and only need a few images, AirDrop is the quickest way to send them straight to your device.
